Your Pet’s Journey with Us

1. Arrival at the Crematorium
   When you arrive, our client care team will meet you and gently guide you through the process. Your pet will be treated with dignity from the moment they are entrusted into our care.
   If you wish, you may spend some quiet time in our Remembrance Room before the cremation takes place. For those who are unsure, we also have refrigerated facilities, so you can take the time you need to decide whether to use the room.
2. Respectful Handling & Identification
   Every pet is carefully identified, with clear records kept to ensure full traceability and correct return of ashes. Our trained staff handle pets with compassion, care, and discretion at all times.
   This step is one of the most important parts of the process—giving you reassurance that your pet will be individually honoured.
3. The Cremation Process
   Your pet is placed in a clean, dedicated cremation chamber.
   • The process usually takes between 1–2 hours, depending on the size of the pet.
   • Only one pet is ever placed in the chamber at a time for an individual cremation.
     We ensure this stage is conducted with the utmost respect, reflecting the love and companionship your pet gave in life.
4. Ash Collection & Preparation
   Once the cremation is complete, the ashes are carefully collected and prepared for safe return.
5. Return of Ashes
   Your pet’s ashes are returned with care, usually within 1–3 days. You may choose to:
   • Collect them personally from VetCare@Peace
   • Have them delivered to your home
   • Request they be returned to your veterinary practice for collection
     We also offer a range of urns, caskets, and memorial keepsakes if you’d like to honour your pet in a special way.
